End of Semester Celebratory Events at Michigan State University

At Michigan State University, we are proud to honor undergraduate, graduate and professional school students who have successfully completed their studies. A variety of celebratory events, organized primarily by graduates and their peers, provide a forum where excellence among students can be acknowledged together and the rich diversity of our student body recognized.

The events are designed to complement University graduation ceremonies by offering additional opportunities for students to reflect on their unique journeys, recognize their communities, and celebrate personal and academic milestones with family, peers, faculty, and staff.

These events are:

  • Voluntary and open to all students and guests, regardless of major, background or identity.
  • Intended to highlight the shared accomplishments of students who may also identify with particular cultural, academic, service, or social groups
  • Aligned with MSU’s mission to foster an inclusive academic environment where all Spartans feel supported, respected, and acknowledged.

These gatherings are hosted by student organizations, sometimes in collaboration with campus departments. They  recognize the diverse experiences and achievements of MSU’s students and are required to be inclusive.

Michigan State University adheres to all applicable federal and state laws, including those related to nondiscrimination, equal opportunity, free speech and academic freedom.
