61st Annual MSU University Activities Board Winter Arts & Crafts Show Rings in the Holidays

No mid-Michigan holiday is complete without attending the annual MSU University Activities Board (UAB) Winter Arts & Crafts Show! Now in its 61st year, the free-entry event has given families and vendors alike a tradition to participate in for decades.

MSU Union
Saturday, Dec. 7, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Arts & Crafts Show is a beloved community event. One of the largest winter arts and crafts shows in the state, the event is expected to attract up to 10,000 patrons. Over 130 crafters and artists from Michigan and beyond will be on hand, offering an array of goods.

Annually held at the beginning of December, the Winter Arts & Crafts Show focuses on high quality "handmade" arts and crafts just in time to cross holiday gifts off the list. Visitors can find the perfect piece of décor, accessories and more. A broad range of items from jewelry/clothing and aromatherapy to children’s toys and sculptures will be accompanied by bath and body goods, photography, candles and much more!

Supporting local vendors also means being able to purchase unique gifts not always available in stores. The Winter Arts & Crafts show is an ideal opportunity to support small business owners and even MSU students. Both the winter and summer Arts & Crafts shows serve as large fundraisers for the University Activities Board (UAB). UAB’s goal is to provide opportunities for students to build connections, create community, and a sense of belonging at MSU through fun and engaging events designed and implemented by UAB student coordinators. Our fundraisers allow us to offer these for free or at low-cost to MSU students.

Along with supporting small businesses and students, it is also a cherished time to shop together with friends and family members. The Winter Arts & Crafts Show has been part of the holidays for generations and UAB celebrated its 60th Diamond Jubilee event in 2023.
